How to apply for a residence permit?
1. X2 Visa holders usually do not need to apply for a residence permit. If you plan to extend your duration of study in LUT, you can apply for a new JW202 before the visa expires. You can apply for a residence permit with the new JW202.
2. X1 Visa holders must apply for a residence permit within 30 days from the date of entry. You should prepare the following materials:
(1) Valid passport and copies (available at Room 306, International Cooperation Department)
(2) Verification Certificate of Physical Examination Record for Foreigner

(3) A letter (available at Room 306, International Cooperation Department)
You can go to Lanzhou Municipal Administrative Service Center for a residence permit with the above-mentioned materials.
