President Scholarship
The President Scholarship of Lanzhou University of Technology is established by Lanzhou University of Technology to support outstanding undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students studying in LUT.
1. Entry requirements
General requirements
Applicants must be a citizen of a country other than the People’s Republic of China, and be in good health.
Applicants must:
Be a high school graduate under the age of 25 when applying for the undergraduate programs.
Be a bachelor’s degree holder under the age of 35 when applying for the master’s programs.
Be a master’s degree holder under the age of 40 when applying for the doctoral programs.
Academic qualifications and Chinese language requirement:
Academic qualifications: a minimum GPA of 3.0 or equivalent.
Chinese taught programs: we require a certificate of HSK4 (or above).
English taught programs: IELTS score of 5.5 or above, TOEFL score of 80 or above, Duolingo score of 100 or above or equivalent. Applicants who are native or official English speakers or have graduated from English taught majors are exempt from submitting proof of English proficiency.
2. Scholarship coverage
Full scholarship covers tuition; accommodation; stipend CNY15,000/year
Partial scholarship covers tuition; accommodation
*In case of any adjustment to the scholarship policy, the specific matters shall be subject to the latest notice from the university.

Undergraduate and master students can apply for Chinese taught programs; doctoral students can apply Chinese/English taught programs. Visit Programs for details.
5. Required documents
(1) Scanned copy of notarized highest diploma. Chinese/English translation is required for texts other than Chinese and English. Prospective diploma recipients must submit official documents issued by current school to prove current student status or expected graduation date. Once admitted, you are required to present the original diploma upon registration.
(2) Scanned copies of notarized transcripts. Chinese/English translations is required for texts other than Chinese and English; prospective graduates can provide current transcripts when applying.
(3) Scanned copy of passport homepage
(4) Study Plan. It should be either in Chinese or English with less than 1000 words. Doctoral students’ study plan should be signed by the supervisor.
(5) Letters of recommendation from at least two professors/associate professors

(6) Certificate of no criminal record
(7) Scanned copy of valid Foreigner Physical Examination Form.
Physical Examination Record for Foreigner.pdf The form must be filled in English. The form without personal photo affixed, saddle seal affixed to the photo,signature or seal from the physician or hospital will be regarded as invalid. The validity period of the examination results is 6 months.
(8) Valid proof of language proficiency, such as HSK, IELTS, TOEFL or Duolingo.

Undergraduate students are required to submit materials 1-4, 6-8 and 11-12. Graduate students are required to submit materials 1-10.

Apply between January 1st to June 15th at https://lut.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx.
Pay the application fee at https://pay.lut.edu.cn/xysf/ptman/login.aspx.
Attend an online interview.
